At Lakeview Middle School, learning extends beyond the core academic classroom. Our Connections Classes give students the opportunity to develop new skills, express their creativity, stay active, and explore future career interests. Whether you're creating a masterpiece, designing innovative solutions, performing on stage, or learning practical life skills, there's a Connection class for everyone.  Our Connections program inspires every student to create, explore, collaborate, and grow while discovering passions that last a lifetime.

🎨 Art

Discover your creativity through drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Students learn artistic techniques while exploring famous artists, cultures, and styles. Art encourages imagination, critical thinking, and self-expression through hands-on projects. See the Fine Arts tab for more information

🏃 Physical Education (P.E.)

Students at Lakeview Middle School receive a comprehensive physical education program taught by certified physical education staff. The middle school physical education program designs learning and activity experiences based on the unique needs of the middle school student, including physical, social, and emotional age appropriate needs. 

A major focus of the middle school physical education program is the teaching and understanding of health related concepts. Fitness testing is completed not only to assess fitness but to have students learn what they need to know to promote fitness in their lives. 

🍳 Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS)

Learn valuable life skills that prepare you for success both in and out of the classroom. Students explore topics such as nutrition, food preparation, kitchen safety, personal finance, consumer awareness, sewing, and career exploration through engaging, hands-on activities.

🔬 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)

Innovate, create, and solve real-world challenges! STEM students participate in exciting hands-on projects involving engineering design, coding, robotics, problem-solving, and technology while building critical thinking and collaboration skills.

🎺 Band

Become part of the LMS Band program! Students develop instrumental performance skills while learning music theory, rhythm, teamwork, and confidence through rehearsals and performances throughout the school year. See the Fine Arts tab for more information.

🎭 Drama

Step into the spotlight! Drama students explore acting, improvisation, script interpretation, stage movement, voice projection, and theatrical production while building confidence, creativity, and communication skills. See the Fine Arts tab for more information.
